IPL to treat blushing?

I am thinkng of having IPL to treat flushing/blushing. I am pale-skinned but blush really easily. I can also go red if I am in a warm room, but its normal room temperature, I look normal. Would IPL help me or would this be a waste of time?

A: Not Effective

Arnold R. Oppenheim, MD

While IPL is effective for rosacea, it is not particularly good for blushing since there are no blood vessels to act as a chromophore. . You would be better off consulting with your dermatologist. Sometimes Cllonidine or Beta-blockers.are effective for flushing/blushing.
