IPL Vs BBL for Sun Damaged Skin?

I've been given two opinions for skin Laser resurfacing for sun damage. One is IPL and the other is BBL (Broad Band Light). Is one better than the other?

Neither is a resurfacing procedure

Both IPL and BBL are different names for Photofacials or light based treatements.  A series of these treatments will improve blotchy pigmentation but will not affect wrinkles.  These are not laser procedures and are non-invasive rather than invasive.
