Does this mean i will start my top teeth on tray #5 when the bottom tray is on 5 and will will not have Tray 1 through 4 for the top? I even asked my doctor and he was even surprised and said this is the first time he did see such instruction by the Invisalin Company.

Invisalgn treatment

Yes you have to start the upper trays later on  after 8 weeks of wearing the lower trays. It is posibil. The whole treatment has 19 sets of trays. That does not mean that you are done. Your dentist might request  either midcourse corrections or refinements or both which will lenghten the treatment. It totally depends on you and the dentist.

Every Invisalign case is different

While I have not had arches START at a different time than another, you are correct.  Normally, I have seen an arch complete treatment earlier than another, but perhaps your case they are trying have the arches END at the same time. If you have 19 aligners, and each is worn for 2 weeks, then your case should last about 38 weeks, or about 9-10 months.

Your treatment time depends on how may aligners you have on upper ( I assume it'll be 19 as well) and also depends on your dentist's instructions for you to wear each set for either two weeks or three weeks.  ( eg, 2X19 OR 3X19 weeks, if you have total... more
