Invisalign: Q&A

Ask a Question

Can Invisalign Move Bridged Area?

I have a bridge over my missing 2nd molar (upper leftside). I had all my premolars extracted for Invisalign treatment due to severe crowding at the front. My query is whether Invisalign is going to be able to close the gap from the extracted premolar (on the upper leftside) considering there is a bridge there?

Bridges won't move

The teeth adjacent or around the bridge may move, but the bridge itself will not, or at least not significantly. You may need to consider redoing the bridge after Invisalign is complete.
