When Do You Get the First Invisalign Aligner After Impressions Are Taken?

You usually get aligners within a couple weeks. I have my own personal technician in Costa Rica that moves my cases thru faster than most practices.

Impressions are shipped via UPS with 2-3 day shipping to California where the impressions are processed. Photos and radiographs emailed to Align Technology may take a few days to be matched to the delivered impressions. Your models are then turned into a simulation in Costa Rica. After taking impression, It takes about 2 weeks to get the digital results to the dental office. With clincheck , you can see the results of the treatment . also you can check how the treatment moves forward gradually and if the patinet doesn't agree with one or more parts of treatment, we can change them on the image. After approval it takes 3 to 4 weeks to get the aligners.

After all of your initial records are taken, it takes several weeks for the the aligners to be fabricated and then returned to your dentist. At some point, your dentist will be evaluating the initial computer-aided design, which includes your proposed treatment plan and teeth movements. Once an agreed upon plan is established, the aligners are fabricated and sent to your dentist.

In our orthodontic office, 1 week after we submit the impression and digital images are taken (photos and x-rays), we have a mini consultation to review the treatment proposed so you can see what to expect and visualize the treatment plan and movement of teeth.
