Will Lower Intensity Pixel Treatments Lessen Recovery Time?

I plan to undergo pixel laser treatment for my depressed scars, but I am currently a Physical Therapy intern and we have no vacation! :( I plan to take it Saturday, and I will take the day off on Monday, so on Tuesday (4th day), I will be okay.. but I am just scared how horrid my face will look like! So, I think I'll just ask my doctor to just do lower intensities for me, however, I will be on multiple sessions for sure (so lesser recovery time).. is it going to be effective?
