My lips make me so self conscious, that it has drastically affected my self-esteem. Will insurance cover surgery or treatment since It appears that I have deformed lips?

No insurance coverage for fixing lips
I can tell you with confidence that a regular inssurance plan will not cover for fixing lips. Over the years, I had few patients who had some golden plans that covers for cosmetic procedures. I'm not sure these plans still exist.

Probably not
Insurance concerns itself with deciding whether a deformity is "functional" or "cosmetic." Anything that is not functional automatically falls into the cosmetic catagory and is not covered to be "medically necessary." Considering that some insurances have even argued the a child born with a cleft lip has a "cosmetic" deformity because it can be fed and survive without a lip repair, I would be very surprise if they would have any sympathy for your situation. Probably not - but ask
Most insurance plans do not cover cosmetic procedures. The only way to determine if insurance will reimburse for a procedure though is to ask your insurance company.
