Typically there are 4 incisions for an endoscopic brow lift and the total of all four incisions adds up to about 2-3 inches

How Many Inches Long Are Incisions from an Endoscopic Browlift Procedure?

The incisions are 1 to 1 1/2 inches long in the center and along lines drawn up through each pupil.  These must be combined with curved incisions inside the temples about 3 inches in length on either side.  The main disadvantage of the Endoscopic Brow Lift is the requirement of fixing the brow up with sutures, threads or hooks. These fixation methods can and do loose, relax and fail allowing one or both eyebrows to drop in position.  The Coronal Brow Lift remains the "gold standard" of brow lift procedures and is my procedure of choice for lifting the eyebrows in a consistent and reliable manner.  Be sure that your Brow Lift Surgeon understands and follows the proper aesthetics of facial beauty.

Typically the incisions are about 3/4 of an inch and vary in number from three to five depending upon the specific approach required and the extent of your browlift.

The incisions with an endoscopic brow lift are all about an inch long, placed within the scalp hair. The main disadvantage of this approach is hairline elevation, which can be a problem in many patients. That is why we developed the Irregular Trichophytic Hairline Incision which allows us to maintain or improve the hairline position when necessary.

Small incisions with an Endoscopic Brow Lift

The incisions in an endoscopic brow lift are made behind the hairline.  The central and para central incisions are slightly shorter than an inch.  The incisions over each temple are slightly longer than an inch. These incisions tend to heal very well with minimal or no hair loss.

Size of incisions for an Endoscopic Browlift.

The incisions for an endoscopic browlift should be small.  I usually make them about an inch in length behind the hairline.  They are well hidden and heal incredibly well.  This is one of the advantages of an endoscopic approch to browlifting.  Coronal browlifting made an incision that extennded across the top of the scalp from ear to ear.  Downtime, recovery, and comparable results are all better with endiscopic brow lifting.
