I was injured when I was a baby and one scar has been left vertically on my forehead after surgery. The color is lighter than the rest of my skin and the skin one side of the scar is slightly raised. A doctor suggested a cut and stitch surgery but she didn't guarantee improvement so I am concerned. 1) Based on the size of my scar, how much can it be improved by surgery? Could it be worse? Could it be both shorter and more narrow? 2) What are other options? How effective and risky is tattoo ?
