Smaller applicator for CoolSculpting may allow new areas of treatment

+1

We are anxiously awaiting newer applicators for CoolSculpting too. We may be able to peform Zeltiq's fat reduction treatment on off-label areas such as upper arms, thighs, knees and calves. Of course, this has to be evaluated by the physician who recommends the treatment as the Zeltiq company will not get clearance for all those indications as it's a costly proposition to have multiple areas all have their own study.

New Coolsculpting Handpiece

+1

Thank you for your question.

Throughout the Coolsculpting treatment, controlled cooling is administered with a non-invasive applicator to an area intentionally targeting fat cells. As the procedure is initiated, vacuum pressure draws tissue into an applicator cup between cooling panels. The vacuum pressure may cause sensations of deep pulling, tugging and pinching in the area being treated.  The new handpiece is not available to everyone yet.  The best place to get the most updated information would be the coolsculpting website.

Best Wishes!

Coolsculpting Thigh piece

Coolsculpting works consistently and provides great results in reducing fat in weeks. The newer small handle is meant for thigh fat treatment. It is supposedly due out to be released by November 2011.
