I Had Breast Cancer 8 Years Ago and Have Implants. I Have Been Getting a Sharp Pain Inside my Right Breast. Should I Be Concern?

Implants after Breast Cancer

After 8 years, it would be natural to be concerned about a recurrence or new breast cancer, but this would depend upon type and extent of original cancer.  Any concern for this would merit an exam and possible imaging.

Concerns after Breast Augmentation?

Thank you for the question.

I'm sorry to hear about the discomfort you have been experiencing recently.
As useful as online forums may be, nothing will ever replace the in person consultation process. During this consultation process,  a complete history and physical examination (as well as a full communication of your motivation and goals) takes place.
Only after this process has occurred, can a good diagnosis be made and treatment options be outlined. Each option will have its potential risk/complications associated with it.
In short, for  useful/precise advice,  you may do well consulting with board-certified plastic surgeons in your area.
Best wishes.

Pain in breast

New onset pain eight years after implant placement after breast cancer should be investigated and can be from many different things.  See your doctor to be properly evaluated.
