Infected bite marks can leave darker scars. You should give this scar plenty of time to fade and mature

Dark Scar Treatment from Insect Bite

Hi Jane. Without a photo it is impossible to say what we would recommend, but a couple options include hydroquinone bleaching creams or products and q-switched laser treatments.
