I have had 3 previous c-sections and also have bands of scar tissue in my abdomen. My doctor would like to perform a hysterectomy. My uterus is stretched over a ventral hernia. My stomach just flops over and I am having pain from everything pulling me forward. Is it safe to get a tummy tuck at this time? Would my insurance cover some of this? What are the risks.

Risks of Combination Ventral Hernia Repair, Hysterectomy and Tummy Tuck

Hysterectomy, Ventral Hernia Repair and Tummy Tuck could be done together providing you are healthy, your surgeons (Plastic surgeon (with or without General Surgeon) and GYN) are willing to interact and work together and the duration of the operation can be kept under a certain amount of time. Ideally the incision should be designed by the plastic surgeon to lay hidden in your chosen underwear. The Gynecologist would then go in through a C-section incision, free the uterus from scar... more
