Treatment for Hyperpigmentation on Thighs and Underarms?

I'm Asian with medium brown skin, and I have very dark patches of skin in between my thighs and groin. It extends down to my mid thigh and back of thigh. I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). Is it Acanthosis Nigricans? Please please advise some treatment. No dr has so far been able to treat it. Please help!
