Hyperpigmentation Treatment and Pregnancy

I have been diagnosed with hyperpigmentation due to sun damage under my eyes. I have been using Mela-D topical cream for 1 month with some success. I also found out recently that I am pregnant. Will this affect my baby? Will this cause concerns of worsening pigmentation or melasma? Thank you.
