Hyperpigmentation on Back- What Are My Treatment Options? (photo)

Having moderate acne on my back as a teen has left multiple dark marks there, although skin itself is relatively smooth (I am 21 now). Besides being confused as to whether lasers, dermabrasion or chemical peels are best to treat, I've also heard that skin on the back is much harder to treat & more resilient than on the face. Are there any options for eliminating hyper-pigmentation on the back? Thanks a lot!
