Fat Transfer
Dear Kassy
Fat Transfer is an excellent technique to help wth shaping the body and to acheive an hourglass shape.
The procedure is basically a speacialized liposuction and the fat that is removed is prepared for injection. The fat is placed in multiple layers to add 'shape'- shape being the key word. The liposuction is not just for the harvesting but also the shaping to acheive the hourglass shape!
You will need a few days to recover- it will feel like you had a hard workout. Bruising...

Fat transfer
You are referring to a fat transfer procedure. This basically is liposuction, where the fat is processed rather than discarded, and then placed in the deficient areas. The problem with this is that the survival of the transferred fat is not that predictable. You may consider a tummy tuck which will accomplish all but the butt.

In our San Francisco office we perform autologous fat transfer (commonly known as the brazilian butt lift with some frequency. The advantage of this technique is moving fat from areas that you don't want it (typically abdomen, flanks and thighs) to places where you may wish some contour enhancement (usually the buttocks).
The technique requires special handling of the liposuction and the harvested fat as well as slow and smal volumes of fat injection. Our...

Fat transfer, liposuction, and buttock enhancement augmentation
Fat transfer is accomplished through a variety of different techniques and processed differently by surgeons.
Generally, fat needs to be removed gently by traditional or syringe liposuction. Laser or ultrasound will damage the fat and make it unusable. Once obtained some surgeons transfer it directly to syringes while others perform combinations of centrifugation, filtering, isolation, medication additives, etc.
Most surgeons introduce the fat by injecting it into the buttock muscles. You...
