Absolutely a minimum of five. Depending upon the coarseness of the hair and the individual’s color of the hair, and the density. A minimum of five is because you only get a reduction of hair by about 20-30% with each treatment. That’s the amount of hair that’s in its growth phase. That’s the only portion of the hair that can be reduced each time you treat.

But look at a man’s beard, which is much more dense - multiple hairs growing out of each follicle, much more coarse, so that’s going to take upward of eight to ten treatments. A woman’s underarms, by three treatments sometimes she is saying, “Wow, this is almost gone.” So we’ll extend out the treatments maybe as long as two to three months. Three months probably between treatments and she is just catching those last few stragglers.

By five treatments most people are pretty much clear. So we say a minimum of five because you’re not going to be completely clear until you really clear everything, which is going to be about 20% each treatment. That’ s just the mathematics of it because you can only get about 20% each time.

There is NEVER any PERMANENT hair loss in every patient for every hair. Most patients will achieve an 80% hair loss or more after 4-5 treatments, which are given monthly.

Hair may gradually return over 1-3 years. This hair can be treated with “touch-up” treatments every year or so.
