My face melts into my neck. Can a Sliding Genioplasty with vertical and horizontal advancement give me desired results? (Photo)

I was a mild candidate for BSSO (I also had a Class II Malocclusion and Deep Bite), but wanted to avoid undergoing such a serious procedure. A TMJ dentist is treating me through orthodontics - by erupting the teeth and moving the bite forward slightly. However, the aesthetic impact is minimal. Can I achieve the desired profile, facial length, and lip position with a sliding genioplasty? Or should I have had the BSSO to address my functional and cosmetic concerns?
