Im thin, and I have loss of volume in my face, im only in my early 30's...i dont want to look older in my face because i am on the thin side. What fillers will work best in these areas? How long will they last? How much do i Need? Where should these fillers be injected? The photos i added are similar to the lines im discribing. They are there when I smile and I really do not like them
Answer: Volumetric Fillers for Peri-oral Lines: Filling Smile and Laugh Lines Lines and creases around the mouth can be smoothed with volumetric fillers. Typically, if the lines are present at repose (non-smilling) and then accentuated with smiling, there is a good chance that a volumetric filler would be appropriate. Fillers for this area, are typically hyaluronic acid based gels, such as Juvederm and Restylane. For fine lines, Restylane is softer and more forgiving. Both last about 1 year and usually one to two syringes are necessary. Lines outside of this area, can be addressed with biostimulators like Sculptra, which helps to promote collagen deposition in larger areas, especially in the thin face. Neuromodualtors, like Botox and Dysport, can be combined with fillers to help uplift and smooth the corners of the mouth.

Answer: Fillers Without a picture of your face when smiling it is difficult to say what you might need. However, generally speaking the lines around the mouth are referred to as Naso Labial folds; they come from the nose down to the mouth like a parenthesis (). If you are speaking about lines that come from the corner of the mouth down the chin that is referred to as marionette lines. Our facial aging is due to changes in several types of tissue including skin, fat, muscle and bone. As we age we lose elasticity in the skin making our skin more likely to wrinkle or sag, we also lose fat and bone in the cheeks causing noticeable changes in our appearance. When treating these signs of aging it is best to add lost volume in the mid cheek area to improve the lower portion of the face, if the lines and folds are severe then additional filler may need to be added to those lines and fold as well. For improvement in the mid cheek area I find that Voluma is currently the best filler available. Voluma is the first and only FDA-approved filler to instantly add volume to contour the mid cheek creating a subtle lift and a more youthful appearance in patients over 21. This filler can last up to 2 years with full correction. It is important to consult with a Board Certified Dermatologist with plenty of experience injecting filler to see which ones are most appropriate for your facial anatomy. At the consultation they will let you know which ones you need and what the cost would be.For more information on Juvederm Voluma click on link below:

TREATMENT FOR YOU

Answer: Lines around the mouth Obviously it is difficult to say what you need without seeing you in person, but what you're describing may benefit from a purely volumizing filler such as Radiesse (which lasts 1 to 1.5 years) and a hyaluronic acid filler for more superficial volumization such as Restylane (which lasts over a year). The amount that people need varies tremendously. Someone in their early 30s would likely only require 1 syringe of each to start, with reevaluation 2 weeks later to assess improvement and the potential need for more filler treatment.
