Hello, it has been a year since my liposuction. Is possible that fat returns to the treated areas? I had arm liposuction, I gain 8lbs within a year and I noticed my arms are fat, the same way they were BEFORE lipo. If I lose the extra weight and do toning exercises, will my arms be slim again?
Answer: About the fat in the Arms It's uncertain to know if you will lose the weight in your arms as you lose weights, cause the arms are a difficult area to lose weight, but of course if the arms get thicker as you gain weight, they will definitely get them slimmer if you lose the extra weight. The most important thing is to exercise to have them tone again, with light weights and doing some cardio as well. Good luck!!!!

CONTACT NOW Answer: Fat Returning After Liposuction Liposuction doesn't remove all the fat so you can regain weight after liposuction if you do not follow a normal diet or you have weight fluctuations. I suggest laser or ultrasound treatments in the future to permanently get tissue tightening and fat loss at the same time. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Return of fat to an area after liposuction. If patients maintain their weight fat will not return to an area that has been treated by liposuction. With significant weight gain however it is possible to have fat deposited in previously treated areas.

Answer: Liposuction does not prevent weight gain. Liposuction removes excess fat deposits from underneath your skin, but it doesn’t permanently create definition in the treated area if weight gain occurs again in the future. As fat accumulates in the body, your genetics will determine where it is stored. So, if you were prone to fat storage near your upper arm crease before your liposuction, you will likely see fat accumulate there again with weight gain. To extend the length of your liposuction results, try to maintain a healthy weight and perform regular exercises to keep your muscle tone well-developed.

Answer: Does fat come back? Hi Liz and thanks for your question. Every patient must be conscious about nutrition after liposuction. It is necessary to modify dietetic habits or remaining fat cels will grow and everything is going to look as before surgery or even worse, they don't multiply but increase their size instead and will respond to body weight variatons. Best.Dr. Milla
