I have had bilateral mastectomy as part of female-to-male SRS. I developed hematoma's on either side the size of golf balls. They have changed shape and consistency, now they are very hard and lumpy, they will not reduce any further. I think this has perhaps become scar tissue. Can I ask will this go away? or do I have to have it surgically removed?

Hematoma after Mastectomy
Most scars from hematomas will soften over time.Your options are: 1. massage and time. 2. Injection with triamcinolone (a steroid). 3. Surgical removal if the scar hasn't smoothed and softened afer 6 months.
