Heavy Lifting After Septoplasty?

Any lifting or other physical activity can lead to bleeding or disruption of sutures or swelling. It could prolong the recovery with any of these things. Sometimes you have to intervene if there is a complication.
So lifting should be kept to a minimum. Generally 5lbs or less. Even if you pick up a piece of paper by bending over and picking it up, it is too much after such surgery as there is a lot of strain involved in the maneuver.
So try to keep upright and minimize lifting as much as possible.
