Liposuction - Insurance Coverage

Each insurance company is different and, therefore, it is not possible to say with absolute certainty whether or not your insurance company will cover this - or any other - procedure. Liposuction and insurance

Liposuction is not covered by insurance. This is usually a cosmetic procedure.  In some instances of breast reconstruction, liposuction can be used to adjust the breast mound.

Cosmetic Surgery is self funded.

No, insurance will not pay for liposuction Liposuction is cosmetic which is to improve  the normal. Reconstructive surgery is sometimes covered by insurance and it is done to restore the patient to a more normal state.  Insurance companies pay a small fee usually less than is justifiable.

Liposuction not covered by insurance.

Hi. Go to a nearby teaching hospital with a plastic surgery clinic. There residents take care of you under supervision with very little cost.

Insurance companies do not pay for liposuction

In today's time it is difficult for us to get insurance carriers to pay adequately for medically necessary procedures and they certainly won't reimburse for cosmetic elective procedures such as liposuction.

Health Insurance Pay for Liposuction

No No No Insurance does not cover elective cosmetic surgery in any state of the union. So nice try but seek a payment plan to pay for the surgery. Best of Luck.

Liposuction is purely cosmetic, not medically necessary

Imagine what our health insurance would cost if it had to pay for every elective surgery we chose to have.  Health insurance is meant to cover MEDICALLY NECESSARY procedures, not cosmetic procedures. Liposuction is purely cosmetic.

Insurance does not cover liposuction

Health insurance only covers medically necessary procedures. Liposuction is a cosmetic body contouring surgery and is not covered by insurance.
