How Can Headaches Be Avoided After PRK?

What are the best ways to treat headaches that may arise as a side effect of PRK? Which medications work the most effectively? What else can be done to reduce the occurrence of headaches?

Headaches and PRK are not related

If you get headaches after PRK, it is unlikely that they are related unless your end result refraction is off significantly. In that case, you should consider an enhancement which can be discussed with your PRK surgeon. If you have great vision, and your postoperative refraction is nearly zero, I would recommend your usual headache remedies. If the headaches become more severe, consider seeking a consultation with your general medical doctor or a neurologist. more
