Look at the pictures below. My left eyelid (your right) shows more than the other one, which in turn makes my left eye look bigger and throws my whole face off. Is there a way to fix this, preferably without any surgery? It seems like something minor. Thank you.
Answer: One of my eyelids shows more than the other one giving my eyes an asymmetrical look. Is there a way to fix this? a minor skin only removal from the right upper eyelid would improve the appearances. Good Luck......

Answer: Don't let anyone graft fat into the eyelid to address this. The grafted fat greats scar tissue. That can make the situation even worse. You have some type of upper eyelid ptosis with a compensatory brow elevation. I recommend that you see an oculoplastic surgeon to have this assessed. The American Society for Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery maintains a regional directory on its website that can help you find a well qualified surgeon close to home (ASOPRS dot org).

Answer: Mild Asymmetry of Eyelids Thank you for you photographs. The issue you describe is very subtle, but certainly I do see the asymmetry. No one's eyes are exactly symmetric. The crease on your left is slightly higher than the right. It certainly would be possible to perform some micro-fat transfer to the right upper eyelid below the crease to attempt to make your appearance more symmetric. I would suggest reaching out to a plastic surgeon with specialized expertise in eyelid surgery and fat grafting. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Assymetry It is difficult to determine from the picture whether there is a component of eyebrow assymmetry here or just eyelid asymmetry but a number of treatments are possible from surgically removing a small amount of skin to tightening the skin on one side with Thermi RF or Ulthera. Sometimes a little botox and filler can be helpful but only a complete consultation can determine which procedure would be best.

Answer: Asymmetrical upper eyelid skin crease and show Your left eye with the higher skin crease suggests a micro-ptosis. I can´t see the eyebrow height that well and wonder if the left brow is held higher than the right to compensate for a mild ptosis (drippy lid) or not? The effect of having more left upper tarsal show or superior lid platform makes the eye look bigger. Just occasionally that is the case, so I would recommend that you check that the forward protrusion of the eyes is similar. This can be done with an oculoplastic or orbito-facial surgeon. In answer to your question re non-surgical options, I do not think that filler or botulinum toxin to try and lower the left skin crease is a viable option. You would be best to either live with it until or if it gets worse, or have a very small surgical procedure to minimally lift the eyelid and lower the skin crease. If you are in the USA, look at the ASOPRS.org site, for Europe the ESOPRS.eu site, and my country, the UK, look at the BOPSS.co.uk website to find a suitably qualified eyelid surgeon.
