Has anyone sued Sculptra or the doctor who injected it?
Sculptra frequently causes permanent, hideous lumps (much worse than granulomas) and Dermik, the company that makes it, is well aware of it. Why then, are there no warnings about this common occurrence in any of their literature or on their website. I'm fuming about this

I too have permanebt bumps from scultra. I hate them! I had injections in Feb 2007. I have about 6 bumps. Three of which are big. One was already removed surgically and I paid 300.00 cash for. I am wondering who should I sue? But the office has closed. i think I am out of luck. We should talk.

I had two hand treatments at $1,000 each. I have about 10 lumps on each hand. They just look awful. I am so embarassed that I try to hide them when I go out in public. Even after the lumps, my doctor wanted to do another treatment. I did not go back. I suppose I will have to wait for the 2 year period for them to go away. If you hear of any way to get rid of the lumps let me know! Thanks.

Hopefully patients will see your post and avoid this product for applications other than approved indications (HIV lipoatrophy). We have a number of patients in whom we have removed the lumps or are following to see if removal is necessary. Many have had visible bumps for years, especially under the eye and in the cheek areas. Although it does not last as long, I have never seen a permanent lump with Juvederm.

Thank you for that honest comment Dr. this has been so very hard for me. there has been a press bombardment and advertising about this product sculptra and no one wants to talk about we who have been disfigured by the product. like we dont count. with it now FDA approved there are going to be alot more people with these problems. Why doesnt anyone talk about the risks. Is it because everyone wants so much for there to be a no risk way to look younger? I dont know if it is injector error or product unpredictability. I dont care because all I know is it has harmed me.
