Would It Harm the Teeth if I Had Composite Done Repeatedly?

My teeth are straight,healthy but yellowish because of tetracyline.I told the dentist do what he thinks the best,he did 7 crowns on my front teeth without telling me how he'd do it.I was horified to see my teeth got removed so much after.Is it the only choice after having composite(i'd done once before)?Would it harm my teeth if i had composite done repeatedly?I'm so regret not to ask him for more details beforehand.I wouldn't complain if there were problems with my teeth but now he ruined them.

Your desire to improve the color of the teeth is understandable. And in routine dental practice usually all the procedures should be explained to the patient, including risks and benefits. If you compare composite restorations versus full coverage crowns - composite, even when performed quite often is a safer version regarding teeth vitality.
