I'm 26 years old and I have had bags under my eyes since I was a teenager but they are only getting worse! I've tried eveything! Id prefer a non surgical procedure like fillers if possible? I've had some issues with my allergies, and I constantly get tired sore eyes from being on a computer at work all day, I will be seeing a specialist shortly for both but I think I need something else. Can you please advise what's me best option?
Answer: Under eye bags You may want to talk to a doctor to see if fillers may work for you. Maybe talk to them about Belotero, or what other fillers they recommend. this is something that you do not need surgery for unless it is necessary

Answer: Lower eyelid bags Thank you for your question and photos. It appears that you have a little too much fat herniation to hide it with fillers. Therefore, the appropriate treatment would be lower eyelid blepharoplasty with fat transposition. See an oculoplastic surgeon in office for consultation.

Answer: Treatment of under eye bags Based on your photos, it appears that the bags under your eyes are a result of fat that is pushing out the area. There are basically two options that can help with this issue. Surgery can be done on the lower eyelids to address the fat directly and this can be done using an incision on the inside of the eyelid. The other option would be using a filler, such as Restylane, to inject under the bags to help camouflage them. The results from the surgery would be much longer lasting than the filler, but I have seen results from Restylane last a year or so in that particular area.

Answer: Treating eye bags and dark circles in a 26 year old There is no one "best" option for all patients. There are generally 2 approaches for treating eye bags: non-surgical with fillers (ex. Restyle, etc) and eyelid plastic surgery. For younger patients, plastic surgeons may possibly start with fillers to soften the appearance of the eye bag and dark circles. Some patients, even young patients, may be candidates for eyelid plastic surgery. Plastic surgery would remove excess fat from the lower eyelid and may inject fat with grafts at the same time. Incisions for lower eyelid surgery can be hidden so there wouldn't be an external scar too. Ultimately, you'll need to speak with a plastic surgeon who performs all the options to help determine what may be the "best" for you at this time.Best,Dr. Chaboki

Answer: Bags under eyes Based on your photos, you have two options. Since you desire a non surgical approach, you could try using fillers to help conceal and improve the look under the eyes. Please be aware that this is a temporary approach and that it may improve the look but will probably not correct it fully. Having a lower eyelid lift will be more predictable and long lasting. I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon who can advise you more fully based on your medical history and goals. Try to schedule your appointment when you are not suffering from allergies so that the surgeon can get a "baseline" impression of the tissues.
