Fraxel laser and laser hair removal

You should not have both procedures in the same area on the same day. If you have laser hair removal, wait at least one week before having Fraxel laser treatment if you have a fair complexion or at least 2 weeks if you have a darker complexion to prevent pigmentation. If you have Fraxel treatment first, wait at least 2 weeks before having laser hair removal.

Laser hair removal and fraxel

Regardless of Fraxel Restore, Dual or Repair, it might be wise to wait several days after laser hair removal to assure there is no unusual reaction such as blisters prior to the treatment with Fraxel. After Fraxel Restore you should wait more than a week before laser hair removal and if you had or will have Frazel Repair, then your doctor should tell you when your skin has healed enough to undergo laser hair removal, but it will be more time than the Fraxel Restore. see video

Recommend Waiting Between Laser Hair Removal and Fraxel Laser

I would reccommend about a two week wait between laser hair removal treatments and CO2 fraxel laser work.

Combination of hair removal and Fraxel

There is typically not a problem with Fraxel after laser hair removal; however, if the area has very dense and thick hair, there may be some residual swelling 2 days after laser hair removal treatment that might be made worse with a fraxel treatment. In light skin patients this may not be a problem but if you have darker skin then there is an increased risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or darkening of the skin.
