HA Migration

Hello ! I had HA filler injected in cheeks and nasolabial folds.3 days later I noticed filler from one cheek has moved under left eye and to the down part of the cheek just above the nasolabial fold. Is this the doctor's fault? If I apply more HA to cover the problem instead of importing hyalurondaise how can I be sure that it will not migrate again and get worse?Thanks

Filler Migration

Migration of dermal filler can occur by multiple mechanisms. A good example of this is when your physician massages the product immediately after injection. There is a limit of course as to how far the filler can migrate. Limitations include the size of the molecule and anatomic compartmentalization. Your physician should always be taking this into account when they inject. Perhaps the most common type of unwanted migration is due to muscle pumping.... more
