Hi. I have suffered from Gyno all my life. Had my right side removed at 13 yrs old in 1988. Left didn't get bad untill lately. In Aug 2011 I had the left removed. But the scar has turned into a keloid and is very visible. Also doctor said "we didn't need to liposuction", yet my areola is much bigger than the right.

Keloids scars are difficult

Keoloid scars are very difficult to treat and control. We do not know who is likely to get keloids. Except certain patrs of the body are more prone. The options for treament is steroid injection, or re excision or compressiont treatment. see video

Keloid Following Gynecomastectomy

It would have been more meaningful for comment if you had posted a photo, since a keloid is often misinterpreted. If you have only a hypertrophic scar or even a keloid, I would suggest initially treating the scar with a combination of steroid and 5-FU. If this is unsuccessful, you might consider surgical revision but the recurrence rate with a true keloid is quite high.
