Can Gum Grafting Treat Protruding Gums?

I had very protruding gums and teeth and had braces for 5 years but it didn't work out. So i decided to extract the 6 upper front teeth to treat the protrusion. But it's been 4 yrs now and my gums are still protruding.I still can't achieve the smile and side view that i like. Can gum grafting treat this protrusiion?
