I'm 45 years old, recently lost 82 pounds in past 10 months with the vertical sleeve gastrectomy. I am currently @ 200 pounds, and I'm 5"8.5. My goal weight is 180....I exercise 4x a week and watch my diet carefully. Would I get. Good result now? Does it look like my fat on belly is more external or internal? Thank you!

Dear WorkingHard, Congratulations on your weight loss! It is difficult to give you specific information without seeing photos of your tummy. If you have excess skin you are more likely to benefit from an extended tummy tuck and liposuction for better contouring of the tummy and the waist. However I would recommend reaching your desired weight first so you can have an optimal result. Best of luck!

I is tough to say as there are no pictures attached. The likely answer is yes, you would benefit now but could benefit more if you weight until your weight is where you want it to be. To be sure, see two or more board-certified plastic surgeons in your area for a full and complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have surgery.
