Is It Good Idea to Go Back to my Surgeon for a Second Rhinoplasty? (photo)

2010 had my rhino.2009 had a chin implant, now I'm thinking of reducing its size.returned to my doctor and suggested me to reduce the larger wing, and thinks my chin implant dosnt look bad.he told me that my nose dosnt need to be lengthened.but really I think my nose needs more than that, it looks more as if I had a surgery for fracture than aesthetics.nervous to have another operation with him really would appreciate if you give me suggestions or recommendations of what I can do

Surgeon for secondary rhinoplasty

It is important to go to a rhinoplasty surgeon who is very well versed in both primary and secondary rhinoplasty, is board certified in facial plastic surgery, and who performs in excess of 200 rhinoplasties per year. A secondary rhinoplasty has a more unpredictable healing factor than the primary surgery and this needs to be understood prior to undergoing elective secondary rhinoplasty surgery.

Surgeon for Revision Rhinoplasty

It sounds like your surgeon does not feel a revision is necessary and does agree with your aesthetics. I suggest you consult with another experienced surgeon to get a second opinion.

Revision African American Rhinoplasty

Hi, If you are not happy with the initial results, I doubt you'll be happy with a revision with the same surgeon. If it were a small problem your looking to fix, then returning to the same surgeon might be ok. You may want to go for one or two more consults. Make sure the surgeon has experience with ethnic rhinoplasty, otherwise you'll be disappointed again. Best, Dr.S. see video
