I was given a test patch for a mild glycolic peel behind my ear that I forgot to wash off the next day, so the following morning (about 36 hours after the peel had been applied), the whole area behind my ear was irritated and red. Now I have a discolored, brown patch behind my ear which is very unsightly. What can I do to help speed healing and make the discoloration fade faster? Also, would it be safe to get another test patch, or does this mean the peel will discolor my face, too?
