How Can I Get Rid of Hyper & Hypopigmentation After Fraxel?

I had fraxel in November 2007, which consisted of five sessions, between each one a whole month. It was very hot and my skin got burned. The color of my skin has now changed and I have both dark and light spots appearing. What can I do to get rid of these?
