Galvanic spa treatment worth it?

I found a new gadget called the Galvanic Spa.  Read that Galvanic current is what Sophia Loren has been using for years.  Is galvanic spa worth it?

Galvanic current is frequently used during professional facial treatments to penetrate serums and stimulate circulation. Galvanic current does have some definite benefits. I have not looked too closely at this particular product, but I would like to add that during a professional treatment we have the client hold an electrode to guard against shock. A good quality galvanic unit is quite costly. Depending on the state you live in, a professional unit may be classified as a medical device and it's use regulated; so I suspect it is unlikely this is a powerful unit if it's available to the general public. As I said, I have no personal experience with this machine, but I have seen plenty of them for sale on Craigslist......with a heavy emphasis on "independent distributor" and "business" opportunities. I hate to sound so skeptical. In theory it could help. If it's working for you, great! Sounds like it takes alot of time, though. Ten minutes, twice a day, every day is a little longer than I want to spend rolling an electrode across my face....I have problem skin, so my routine is long enough as it is.

It is recommended to use the Galvanic Spa twice a WEEK (not a day)for 10 minutes but I have to say it is a bit addicting as you do see results and they are cummulative so once you start you feel the need to do more. The Galvanic Spa does have the ability to work on cellulite as well. Results are different for each individual but again it is cummulative so that is why you might find yourself using it more than twice a week. Let me know if you have any questions. Janet

My friend has one of these and I tried it. Well Wow! It took away weird under skin like pimples I had that I couldn't get rid of for years - in one treatment...also my wrinkles did look much less - even to th point I didn't go get BOTOX. My only problem is the gel you put on your face from nuskin has paraben and other chemicals that noone should be putting on their face anymore it's so bad hormonally for your body. I used plain old olive oil on my face with it and its working beautiful - and all natural. I would highly reccomend this device I'm going to up the 350 for it because I want one of my own!

my girldfriend's friend used galvanic spa and loved it. She also mentioned that it helped her with her hyperpigmentation. I'm so excited! I was going to try fraxel laser but your story is really convincing me I should try this. How long did it take to see results and what other benefits did you see?

Boy this sounds too good to be true...what all does this claim to do?? I read on another forum that someone experienced sagging of the skin. God, you wouldn't want that!!!

I use the Galvanic Spa II and I sell the product. I do not recommend buying them from anywhere but NuSkin because you do get a warranty, etc. It does work, but you have to do it two or three times a week. It is a workout for the face, etc. It also stimulates hair growth. Some people I know say they don't see any change at all in my face while other people I barely know tell me I look great. Galvanic currents have been used for 50 years for keeping the face in shape. They still teach it to cosmetology students. Thanks for letting me voice my experience. Michele

I used the Nuskin Galvanic Spa about 5 times on the right side of my face as a test (my husband and I were thinking of becoming distributors). I was getting very favorable results, until I used it for the first time on the left side of my face. While working on the crows feet, I felt "electrical shocks" in the temple area. I applied more gel as my distributor suggested, but still felt shocks. I immediately discontinued using the device, and washed the gels off my face. The left side of my face felt "numb," and over the next several hours it felt like I had an electrical current "zapping" the left side of my face, scalp, eye and ear. I don't have any of the contraindications listed in the manual, and after 18 months, the problem still persists.
