Hi i was wondering is a full jaw implant a common surgery and are their many surgeons that do such a surgery. Also if their is such a surgery are the jaw implants custom made. Image provided as an example. Would the implant be made of silicon or is it possible to make it out of a mesh which fuses into a bone and tissue like outcome.

Custom Jawline Implants
Such custom jaw implants are done by few surgeons. I have designed and placed many of these type of implants. The implant would have to be made of silicone and would be placed in three sections, not as a whole unified piece. Just because it can be designed and made on a model does not take into account how it would be surgically placed.
