Apart from Steroid Injections, What Are Most Effective Methods to Minimize Scar Tissue?

I've heard of people taking anti histamines or injecting botox into the swollen areas of nose to inhibit scar tissue forming in the first place. Has anyone ever recommended alternative methods to steroid injections? (which i do not believe are safe, having seen damage first hand) are there any other treatments to prevent scar tissue forming or dissolve it?

There are many lasers, topical treatments, and surgical options. It all depends on the types of scars you have. Raffy Karamanoukian Los Angeles

Scar Treatment and Prevention

First, to prevent or limit scarring, the most important thing is excellent surgical technique for whatever condition you are considering.  Second, meticulous wound care to prevent crust, scab or infection that can lead to scarring.  Third, is proper sun protection to the healed surgical site, as sun on healing skin can cause permanent discoloration.

Additional methods to prevent or reduce scarring after a surgical procedure could include use of the Pulsed Dye Laser, the Fractionated CO2 laser, Silicone gel sheets, or TNS Scar Repair Gel.

For scar reversal-- it again depends on the particular concern, such as type of scar, location, symptoms etc.  The Pulsed Dye Laser, Fractionated CO2, Silicone Gel Sheets, steroid injections, 5-FU injections, radiation treatment, or surgical repair are all common methods used.
