Duration of Fraxel Treatments?

Fraxel treatment times
Full face treatment with the Fraxel laser device, or any similar fractionated resurfacing device, usually takes no more than 30 minutes for a complete treatment. Most treatments, however, can be done in as little as 15-20 minutes.
Although treatment can be performed any time during the year, extra caution must be taken when treatments are done in the summer. Excessive sun exposure must be avoided both before and immediately after treatment. Practicing in San Diego, I am quite accustomed to treating patients during "sunnier times" as we have year-round intense sun exposure. As long as the proper post-treatment regimen is followed and sun exposure is limited or avoided during healing, then there shouldn't be any adverse effects.
