Is the Fraxel Repair (fractional) CO2 laser or a traditional (non-fractional) CO2 laser better for reducing scars?

Fraxel and CO2 both improve scars, but neither removes it

When the goal is scar improvement, 3 different laser methods can work, but none will completely remove the scar. Traditional CO2 can improve scarring, but is the most aggressive with the most downtime. A fractionated ablative CO2 laser (Fraxel Repair or other name brand fractionated ablative CO2 laser) will also greatly improve the appearance of the scar, with slightly less downtime.
