Fraxel Restore for diminishing needle marks and large pores?

I've had 4 Erbium Microlaser peels to address scarring and very "pebbly" skin on my chin, the result of electrolysis. While the laser has reduced the bumps somewhat, and the skin is more flat, the needle marks have now been exposed and I have what look like many large and unslightly pores. Can Fraxel Restore improve this condition?

A: Fraxel and Botox Helps With Large Pores

Michael A. Persky, MD

Hi Jan, Fraxel re:store may help a little with the large pores, Fraxel re:pair would help more.  Recent research using intra-dermal injection of small amounts of Botox have been promising in reducing the size of pores.  Good luck and be well. Dr. P

The erbium peels ought to give you better results than Fraxel Restore. I wonder how deep the peels were. Laser peels are complete surface skin resurfacing. The microlaser peel just happens to be a swallower treatment than traditional full skin resurfacing done in the old days using CO2 lasers. It can be made into the equivalent of traditional CO2 full depth resurfacing by increasing the depth of treatment. Caveat the possible lengthy downtime. That said, you will get equal benefit with a much shorter downtime if you go for ablative fractional resurfacing. Chances are the laser used on you for the peels also has a fractional resurfacing head. I'd discuss this further with the practice. Fraxel Re:pair would give you similar results.

The Fraxel can improve enlarged pores and icepick scars, but not completly erase.  It will take several sessions, at minimal four. Good luck! Linda Quinn, MD

Look at the derma roller..Same concept and depth of fraxel without radiation or ris of burn ect.... It's about $100.00 combined with tns recovery serum $150 I think you would see improvement before trying laser for $5000.00
