Fraxel re:store treatment expectations
Fraxel re:store is a non-ablative treatment. That means that it is not destroying the areas of skin that get treated by the laser. Instead, the laser heats the columns of skin which triggers the wound response activities. Fraxel restore usually requires a series of treatments
Some lesions may be more amenable to improvement with one treatment but this would be the minority of discolored spots. Most require multiple treatments as only a fraction (fractional lasers) of the area treated is affected by the individual laser tiny points within the laser field of absorption.
