Fraxel laser and Ulthera are complementary not subsitutes for each other

Fraxel Restore helps fine lines and discoloration and acne scars, Fraxel Repair helps the same plus provides slight tissue tightening and Ulthera provides deep tissue tightening without any of the superficial conditions. Both treatments can provided to the same patient. Patients need an evaluation to determine what is needed and what timing the treatments are rendered (Ulthera before Fraxel). see video

Fraxel vs. Ulthera

I think of Fraxel as a skin polisher or shiner, and I think of Ultherapy as a skin tightener. I think both techniques work very well, but could only make a recommendation after seeing the patient in person, as everyone's skin tone, anatomy and aging process varies.

Better for what??? fraxel very good for certain indications

Fraxel is quite good for scars, acne scars included, superficial wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation. there are some other indications it is sometimes helpful for as well. usually 4-6 treatments are required for the fraxel restore, but the upside for multiple treatments is minimal downtime each time you use it.
