Can you have Fractional Laser on the face if you have Vitiligo?

Eximer Laser is a far better choice

There is a substantial amount of literature showing that the 308nm Eximer laser is quite effective for vitiligo. Dr. Jim Spencer of NYU has published two papers in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology demonstrating some excellent results. There are others. Those of us who have used the Eximer laser for psoriasis and vitiligo are frankly more impressed with the results for vitiligo than we are for psoriasis. Fractional Laser and Vitiligo

After reviewing Fractional laser vs Eximer laser, as Dr Oppenheim recommends, I agree with the doctors advise. Go with the Eximer laser. Regards. Dr. B

Patients with vitiligo often get depigmentation after injury (a burn, a scape, etc). I therefore advise that you NOT do laser to your skin. The risk far outweighs any benefit.
