Fractional CO2 Laser for Red Marks and Acne Scars?

Next month, I am going to have a Fractional CO2 laser procedure its been now 6 months since i finished Accutane and my acne is under control but a lot of red marks on my cheeks are still there. There are some scars too.
My dermatologist said that I should see a lot of improvements with the scars after this procedure but not a lot. I am more concerned about the red marks. Will the Fractional CO2 laser improve my red marks? If not what do you recommend?
