I had a rhinoplasty 5 days ago. Today I strained to go to the bathroom quite a bit. I had a deviated septum fixed as well, is it possible the straining made my septum deviate again or has ruined my rhinoplasty?

Answer: Straining to go to the bathroom 5 days after Rhinoplasty?
The nose usually stops growing in girls a bit earlier than in boys but it would be acceptable to do a nasal surgery at your age. I have yet to see or hear of a nose growing after a rhinoplasty has been performed at a young age.
No – whistling after nasal surgery is not “normal”. It may
be due to internal scarring of the nose, persistent swelling or even a
perforation of the nasal septum.
Post operatively my patients cleanse the inner nose with 1/2 strength hydrogen peroxide on a q tip, no nose blowing and are prescribed an antibiotic and steroid dose pack. Flonase, a steroid inhaler is safe to use because of its low steroid concentration.
