In 2008 had small hump develope so gortex was replaced with medpore which became exposed through surgical site. All implants removed but now time to fix again. Looking for a surgeon with experience to do this surgery. Hopefully somewhere in ny plus would like some other minor work done. WOuld travel for an excellent surgeon!

Without seeing any photos it is difficult to comment. However, given your hsitory of having extruded Medpor and prior grafts/implants removed my guess is that your soft tissue envelope has contracted and that you will require substantial cartilage support in order to correct things. Costal cartilage harvested from your chest wall would be the optimal choice in your case as it is your own tissue, readily available, firm and straight.

There are several options for dorsal onlays including yoru own rib cartilage or using irradiated cartilage. Best to be seen in person. Good luck.
