Im flying 1.5 hrs. on Delta Airlines to have my TT and lipo on fanks. My 2nd day after my TT is it safe to fly back to Atlanta, Ga. I will have my drains removed by a plastic surgeon here in Atlanta. Is it safe to fly the 2nd day after. 2nd. By looking at my photos, do you think a TT and lipo to the flanks will give me the waistline I long
Answer: Flying 2 days postop You should definitely not fly, even for 90 minutes, two days after surgery. You would be at risk for a deep vein thrombosis. You will also not be in shape to fly, let alone go through all the hassle attendant to the TSA. I am very surprised that you have been able to find someone in Atlanta who is willing to remove drains from an operation performed by someone else in another city. My question is why, in a city with many highly skilled board certified plastic surgeons, you would choose to go elsewhere. If you elect to do so, you should remain in that location until after your sutures have been removed, at minimum.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Tummy Tuck Thanks for the question. Generally, most patients can fly within 2 to 4 weeks after Tummy Tuck surgery. However, car or airplane travel should be avoided to prevent the risk of blood clots in the legs. I wish you all the best.

Answer: Probably would avoid flying for several days after in abdominoplasty. For a variety of reasons I would ask patient from out of town to remain in the premises for about a week after in abdominoplasty. It is important to keep active to reduce the risk of pulmonary embolism. There are short-term risks such as seroma that any surgeon would prefer to take care of himself.

Answer: Weight 10 days before flying after tummy tuck The answer is a definitive no. Flying before 10 days after tummy tuck surgery increases your risk of blood clots which can travel to your lungs.I am shocked if your plastic surgeon did not inform you of this risk.In addition most plastic surgeons would not welcome the opportunity to provide postoperative care such as drain removal for another surgeons operation. My recommendation would be to consult a board certified plastic surgeon in your area.

Answer: Traveled two days after surgery is too early I definitely would not fly two days after a tentative procedure. You're at a increased risk for deep venous thrombosis. Additionally you will not feel well enough to make that trip even though it's only an hour and a half. I would reorganize your flight itinerary to fly out 5 to 6 days later. Good luck
